How to use Custom Background in Doodly?
I am going to discuss the following three methods to use background as board in Doodly.
Method 01: One board in one video: Whiteboard, Chalkboard (black and green) and Glassboard.
Method 01: One board in one video: Whiteboard, Chalkboard (black and green) and Glassboard.
Method 02: Custom background (color and image)
Method 03: Different board and custom background in one video
Method 01: Use of one board in one video
I know every doodler knows it. Just click on the "+ Create New Video" button available at the top left corner and select the board. There are 5 options
01. Whiteboard
02. Chalkboard: Here again you can choose the chalkboard color as black or green.
03. Glassboard: On this board, gives the feeling of a writing hand appears another side of the board.
But,
I have mentioned 5 options and described only 4. The chalkboard has 2 options.
Method 02: Custom background (using color and image as a board)
Step 01: Click on the '+ Create New Video' in the upper Recent Videos section as shown in the following picture
Step 02: After that, a new pop up window will appear. Here you get 5 options. Whiteboard, Chalkboard: Black & Green, Glassboard and Custom. Click on Custom.
Step 03: When you click on Custom, a new drop-down menu appears named as 'Marker', 'Custom Color'. Click on "Custom Color" and select 'Custom Image'.
Step 04: A new button 'Browse file' appears next to 'Custom Image'. Just click it.
Step 05: Select your image, which you want to use as background. For example, I have chosen the image having the logo of doodly tutorial at the bottom right corner.
Step 06: A new pop up will appear. You can set dimensions of your picture to set as background moving the tiny dots. You can also change the image just click on "Choose another image". After setting the dimensions just click on "Done" available at the bottom right corner.
Step 06: A new pop up will appear. You can set dimensions of your picture to set as background moving the tiny dots. You can also change the image just click on "Choose another image". After setting the dimensions just click on "Done" available at the bottom right corner.
Step 07: Fill 'Title', select 'Resolution' and click on "Create"
Note: You can use this method to use your LOGO in doodly videos but there is a problem that you will have to use the same image as the background for every scene/ canvas or will have to create separate background images for different scenes. You can know more about how to use your LOGO in doodly videos.
Method 03: Different boards and custom background in One video
What about already created videos? What if I want to use blackboard in one scene and whiteboard or custom image or color in the next scene in the same video? Every doodler has a lot of questions like this.
And,
This method is the answer to all questions related to the background or board. Just keep following.
So far, what I discussed was for the whole video. But this method is for a single scene in a video.
Step 01: Click on Scene Settings located at the right side of the dashboard.
Step 02: Uncheck the options "Use board and hand style from video settings"
Step 03: After step 02, all the options become active. Now you can see that all the options have been discussed in method 02. Follow the method 02.
Step 04: Click on "Apply"
Then,
What is the difference?
The difference is that method 02 is for the whole video and method 03 is for a single scene in a video. Go to the next scene and repeat method 03 for a different result. Method 03 can be used for existing videos also.
